happy easter, part 2

what a great day we had this year.
the kiddos were super excited to get their easter baskets and find some eggs.
here is the loot.  brett and i did get a basket with all the leftovers!  yum!

the kiddos getting ready to go outside for the egg hunt.

olivia, finding some eggs.

mallory finding eggs.

sweet kale wondering what is going on.

brett and i, being mean parents, left kale in the sunroom to watch the egg hunt.
next year buddy!

it was a little chilly.  sister hug.

these are the lambs i made them.  the tutorial is here.  they turned out SO cute.
the girls love them and even sleep with them.  CUTE.
i made a little one for kale the next day.

we watched conference and had a nice relaxing morning.  the madsens came over for lunch and then watched the second session with us.
megan and i hid the eggs for the kids again and then the kids hid the eggs for megan and i.
it was really fun.  i think we will start doing the kids hide, parents find egg hunt every year!

it was so nice to have conference on easter and be able to here from our prophet and church leadership on this special day.  conference was so uplifting.  i can't wait for the ensign to come out.

happy easter!

hope you are all having a great day!

easter reminds us of the Savior and how grateful we are for His sacrifice.
we are so thankful for the gospel in our lives
and that families can be forever!

gymnastics

the girls had gymastics this winter.
they couldn't wait to go everyweek.
i think they would have gone everyday if i would have let them.
here is olivia in the 4 and 5 year old class.
she did great.  she is a little apprehensive, but did a awesome.

the teacher, ms. joan, was AMAZING!  she knew just how to handle those little kiddos.ms. joan was super nice and actually taught the girls alot about proper form.  really great teacher!

mallory is a little power house.  even ms. joan was impressed.

we will definitely be doing gymnastics again and hope to have ms. joan as their teacher.

springtime photos

so i have a little confession...
i am trying to learn how to use my camera.
so, if you don't want to look at a WHOLE bunch of pictures of my kiddos
go no further.

look at those eyes!

i don't know how i did this with my camera, shutter speed?
i love how liv is focused and everything else is blurry.

liv "helping" kale walk.

yes, i am a good mother.  i let him crawl around on the dirty ground.
he loves it.  he crys when i bring him inside.
what a BOY!

i love these 3 kiddos (most of the time)!

he loves this car.  i think he would stay in it all day.

very upset. i put him in the stroller to go for a walk.

the outside pants.

liv riding her bike.  we went on a walk and liv rode her bike.
she was so proud of herself.  too cute.

peek-a-boo

liv REALLY wants to climb trees.
she is actually kind of obessed.
here she is trying, just a bit to short.

mallory riding around with her pink boots.

DIRTY pants.

the girls love to play with kale through the window.  i got livy playing with him the other day.

we have some silly girls.

love, yellow and fires.

LOVE:
THIS BOY!
both brett and i just can't seem to get enough of this sweet boy.
he is talking up a storm now, not much of it makes since but it is adorable.
he knows some sign language, more, please, bath.
you know the important ones.
he is really close to walking.
he loves being outside, his blankie and milk.
LOVE LOVE LOVE HIM!

oh, he just got 2 new teeth on the bottom.  8 total now.

the kiddos are always playing my keyboard.
they sing and dance, even kale.

YELLOW:
olivia had color days at school this last month.
this is her yellow outfit.
she is really enjoying preschool and is well-behaved, much to my surprise.

FIRE:
the other night, we were all sleeping, 1AMish.  a siren wakes me up, they always go by our house.  we live on a busy road.  but this time it was different.  the sirens didn't go away and pass us.  they seemed to stop right by our house!
(if any of you remember, just a couple of months ago, i awoke to a car
on fire outside the SAME widow.)
i woke up, looked outside and a firetruck was in the neighbors driveway.
the neighbors house was ON FIRE.
how weird/crazy is that!
we watched in amazment for a couple of minutes then brett went over to tell the firemen the neighbors could come stay in our house if they wanted to.
the neighbors were ok and we went back to bed.
it was an electrical fire and everyone is ok.
isn't that just strange.
apparently we are bad luck for our street?

party on!

i asked mallory what she wanted to eat for her party,
of course she said pizza!
when planning this party, i realized mallory has all older friends.
only one other child was 3 the rest are older.
i thought it was kind of funny.

aren't they all so cute.
they were very good and played and played and had tons of fun.

here is the cake.
the party was all about bugs, since mallory loves bugs.

i kept on "bugging" the kids that the "dirt" was real dirt.
it was pretty entertaining.

the birthday girl with grapes in her cheeks.
it was much cuter in person.

the bubba's.  he napped for most of it, but got to come outside and play.

this is dr. madsen.  the horses were sick and he was looking after them.

this is josh.
he is in olivia's preschool class and he loves her.
he has already asked brett if he can marry olivia!!  how cute is that!
BUT, mallory seems to love him.  adorable to watch them.
a little love line? (not the show).

princess outfits everywhere!

mallory got some really cool gifts.  she was very excited.

the whole crew.
aren't they so cute.  they were all very well-behaved and we all had a great time.

funny faces.

i forgot to take a picture of the best part of the party.  the treat bag.  i found a bug catcher at the dollar store and got one for each of the kids and packed it full of bug stuff.  they LOVED it.

the best part about having this party happened a couple days after when someone asked mallory how her birthday was.  she responded "all my friends got to come over".
that made the 4 hours of crazy fun worth it!
