shoveling

we live on the corner and the snowplow brings snow from the street

and puts it right at the end of our driveway!!!

we could not get out of the driveway after the crazy snow today!

so we all got suited up and went out.

the kids played and i shoveled!

i could not believe the amount of snow in our driveway!

yikes.

enough room for one car to get out.

potty training

after yesterday and kale not being able to go into the ikea play place,

i decided we would potty train today!!

it didn't go so well.

this is how both of us felt.

we are making progress becasuse kale actually let me

put the underwear on him!

the first time i tried he screamed "take this off me"

until i took the underwear off!

love this boy!!

one day, he will be potty trained.

but it did not happen today!

leap day snow

happy leap day!!

we haven't had very much snow this year,

so today winter decided to try to catch up!

it snowed all night and most of the day!! 

wow.  the kids are so excited to go and play in it!!

just for the records

we went down south of the cities today and went to the mall of america and ikea!!

of course, i forgot the camera. oh well!

we went to lunch with uncle greg!! 

 then got to go on rides at the MOA.

we had a great time!! 

 since it was only me and the kids i got to go on all the rides with the kids.

even i had fun!

mom and kids were happy.

well, that is until we got to ikea.

poor little kale could NOT go in the play place at ikea.

he was heart broken!

you have to be potty trained and mr. kale is NOT.

kale had to come into the store but

 i am hoping this will make him want to go potty!!

we have been talking about it all day!

we are going to try tomorrow!!

almond poppy seed bread!

we made almond poppyseed bread today.

it is seriously YUMMY!

so yummy that olivia ate the top of one whole bread

and kale took the end of one and hid under the table to eat it!

i guess the kids like it!  LOL!

brett even wanted to take some to work for his co worker!

i love it when i can make something that my family loves!

kale and mal were playing with flashlights today. 

they went downstairs and were on a treasure hunt.

i don't know what they were looking for but they sure had a fun time!

i have some good helpers!!

best friends

it has been so fun to watch kale and mallory become such great friends!

they get to spend alot of time together when liv is at school. 

they went to get the mail for me today.

mal held kale's hand and helped him walk on the snow.

i hope they can always be good friends!!

wacky hair, crazy clothes day!

olivia had wacky hair, crazy clothes day at school today. 

she came up with the outift all on her own.

her shirt and socks are on inside out but you can't really tell.

liv was really happy with her outfit and loved her hair!

it is so fun that she loves school so much!!

i see her skip into the school when i drop her off and

makes my heart happy!!!

tower

mallory has awesome teachers at her preschool.

today sarah made a huge tower for the kids. 

it was pretty awesome!

i went to RS meeting last night.

we had a great turnout and did a really fun craft!

i woke up to this...

brett had has way with kale's hair again!

thank goodness he is so cute!

SNOW and sledding!!!

after playing at the park yesterday...

it snowed 3 ish inches!

we got to go sledding!!

it was the first time we have sledded this year!

the kids had such a great time!

there was a pretty cold wind but the kids were troopers

 and stayed outside for almost 2 hours!

kale and gracie played together the whole time.

they really do love eachother.

it's adorable.  ALMOST makes me want to get a dog for him!

we decided to take the kids to the park today!

we are official minnesotans because it was maybe 40 degrees outside!!

being outside was so nice, getting some fresh air!!

brett didn't wear a coat or a hat to the park!

his ears were so cold when we got back home he put his beanie on.
