new shirt

liv has a best friend, priscilla.

it is here birthday today so we made a

BFF necklace and a shirt for priscilla.

of course, i made liv a matching shirt and necklace.

the end of soccer

it's over.  the girls played their last game today.

it was so hot again today but the girls played good.

after they all got a treat, a trophy and an ice cream coin to get ice cream later.

we went and got ice cream that night!

a busy day

kale is such a big boy now and uses the potty all the time!

woot woot!

he got his reward, a hot wheels motorcycle just like his friend kaleb!

he is so happy and so are we!

after kale saw his motorcycle we headed off to the beach, then came home to trim our shrubs.

it was hard work!!  a neighbor even came and helped. 

she did all the cutting and i cleaned up.

all three kids helped quite a bit!

good to learn hard work.

then, with an hour to spare-the three kids and i all showered

got ready and made it to the church for a wedding reception.

i was amazed we could all get ready that fast!

why are we late on sundays then??

i put up all of the lights!

it turned out so great!

sleepover pancakes

our first friend sleepover! 

katy got to come spend the night last night.

the kids had fun playing, doing make up,

having special snacks, watching a movie and sleeping on the blow up beds.

then we had chocolate chip pancakes in the morning!



hot soccer

the girls had their last soccer game tonight.

it was 92 outside and our turn to bring the snack.

liv and mal were so excited because we brought freezy pops.

the kids were all in heaven.

kale had several kids to play with and loved to go to the games.

all of us mothers would bring snacks and

the little kids would just go from mom to mom getting a treat.

even though their team didn't win one game,

liv and mal learned tons about soccer and really improved.

they both scored several goals a game and got to know the rules.

i didn't know how much a would enjoy watching these girls of mine!

it was great and i can't wait until next year!

when we got home brett was there, waiting for the kids.

he got all of them soaking wet. 

they thought it was so awesome.

memorable way to cool off.

my camera battery died as i took the picture of mallory,

so no pics of liv or kale.  boo.

elm creek swimming pond

elm creek swimming pond is about 20 mins away from us.

it is our favorite place to be in the summer!

the passes are only $10/person and we have already been about 10 times.

our elk river ward moms and kids meet us there

and it is fabulous for the kids to play and the moms to talk!

we bring all sorts of sand toys, snacks and treats and have lots of fun.

butterflies and crazy dad

we colored, cut and put up some butterflies today. 

the girls loved it and would craft and create all day if i let them.

just in case you can't tell, that's brett!

lake calhoun

we went to lake calhoun to walk around today.

it was beautiful and relaxing!

the ehlerts met up with us after we went in the water for a bit,

threw rocks in the water and played at the park.

we decided to go ALL the way around the lake.

it was a full 5k.  mal and kale were carried for awhile

but olivia made it all the way by herself!

it was awesome.

this is a tree house we passed on the way home!

both the ehlerts and us pulled over as soon as we saw it

 and went back to get a better look!

wow.  i think you can rent it!
