this ones for you nana

my mom spoiled us while she was here.
she bought the girls some matching outfits. i wanted to show her how cute they are.
i cannot say how much a enjoyed my mom being here. i not only didn't have to touch a dirty dish, make dinner, or vacuum for 2 1/2 weeks but she is one of my best friends. it was just nice to see her and have her here with us. i didn't worry for one minute when i was at the hospital because i knew she was at home with the girls. i almost didn't let her go, really. she almost stayed a couple extra days for me but in the end, i let her go home. not without ALOT of crying, i cried for a couple days before she even left. thanks again for everything mom. you're the best.
PLEASE come back soon or better yet just move here!

the cave

so i didn't take a very good picture but in this picture the girls are inside they "cave". brett makes them tents in their room. they love it. one day when the cave was made, i heard the girls screaming and laughing. i grabbed the camera and ran. this is what i found...

the daddy monster. all i have to say is AWESOME. this is why i married him.

little photo shoot

this is an outfit that grandpa (brett's dad) got for kale. isn't it adorable. i just about died when i got him in it. i think he looks like such a little man. we can't get enough of him.stinky little toes

still has more hair than dad.
sweet girls

blessing day

nana and wendy helping kale get ready. nana bought a really cute outfit
and kale looked so handsome. this picture is becoming a trend with our kiddos. doesn't he look happy! mallory's blessing day picture is the same, crying, screaming! ohhh, aren't they adorable. proud pretty sisters.three generation picture! how awesome is that! we were
so glad that grandpa could make it. (don't tell brett i told you, but i am pretty sure he was crying for this picture!!). LOVE YOU BABE!

brett did such a great job with the blessing. it was very sweet for me to see those strong men holding my little baby boy in the circle. those men (and other's that couldn't be there) will be such great influences to this little buddy! thank you for all who came and to those how couldn't, we missed you!
it was a great day. after sacrament we all went home and had a great dinner. brett used his bar-b-que for the first time and made some great chicken and ribs! then we all just hung out and chatted. what could be better, good food and great people!

more fun!

grandpa got to stay a little later then everyone else! he was very nice and played and played with the girlies! blocks, storytime and he even took us to target and got the girls a valentine treat. thanks grandpa.

papa played a "game" one night with the girls. it is really funny. he put them up in the air and make them flap their arms like they were flying. at first mally didn't know how to do and so papa had to show her. i am sad i didn't get a picture of that!

greg would hold the girls up and have them touch the ceiling.
mallory didn't love it so much but olivia loved it.
i think greg's arm got a little sore. thanks greg!
"crazy hair" after baths. i got mallory's really good this time. we like to make up new styles everybath and then brett has done some very inventive blow-drying.

visitors

we were very lucky and had some special visitors for kale's blessing. nana, papa, greg, wendy and kenny and brett dad, grandpa. they were all very nice and held the baby all the time and played with the girls. we sure do miss everyone!
greg and the girls.
mallory especially loved greg. it was so cute. she would sit by him ALL the time and just wanted to be by him. greg of course LOVED it (right greg??).
papa working his magic. papa does have a talent and is always ok and calm with babies no matter what they are doing, crying, screaming and just being cute babies.
the girls doing a show for us. they had their little "mircophones" and were singing songs for us too. i think they are going to be the next big act!
papa took the girls on a couple of walks. they feed the geese, one of the girls favorite things to do. thanks for taking them dad.here they are leaving. what a good papa!

first baths and my little "helpers"

kale's first bath. he LOVES his bath. it is so cute.
we got him in there and he just looked around and loved it.
here is mallory and then olivia holding the baby. we do this about
about 13 times a day. they both just love him. they have both been very good and not hurt him yet. i am just waiting though. i know i can't protect him from his other mothers for too long.

the girls do help alot by getting diapers and wipes when needed. both LOVE to talk to him and olivia really likes to tickle him with her hair. i haven't decided if i like that or not but it is pretty cute.

sweet baby kale

look at this face. olivia was so cute with kale. she couldn't wait to see him. she is a great big sister. liv wants to hold him ALL the time and helps getting diapers or his plug or whatever. i still can't get over her sweet face.here is nana with #12. she says we can keep him. she has been such a great help. i can't image doing this without her here. i am so lucky to have such a great mother that can come to help. thanks mom! i love you!he does open his eyes.sitting with daddy. isn't that the cutest blanket ever. my aunt gail makes them for all of us. thanks again aunt gail. i have already got tons of compliments! mallory and kale. mal is funny about kale. you know she loves him and wants to help and hold him, but she isn't really that concerned about him. i LOVE this outfit. he is such a boy. i think he looks JUST like brett. even the nose. he is so cute. i can't believe we have a boy. it's nice to have some blue around here. i just can't get enough of him. seriously! he is so darn cute!

what an experience, having a baby. i went all natural this time, not even the IV in my arm. it was terribly fabulous. i can still remember the whole pushing thing (thus we are NOT having anymore children at this moment, until that memory fades) but the recovery is awesome. i already feel great and shovelled our driveway today! kale has been a great baby so far. he is a great nurser and sleeps ok at night. we already had a checkup and he is almost back at birth weight!! the girls just love him. olivia is having alittle bit of a hard time. i think she thought kale was going to be her baby so she has a hard time not being the mommy. mallory is doing just great though and doesn't seem to even notice anything different. just one question,

how do you go grocery shopping with 3 kids??

snow day

we just got the most snow in 13 years here the other day. the girls were so excited. they got all bundled up and went out with daddy to "help" shovel.
brett shovelled for about 2 hours and because there was a foot of snow!
they had so much fun! thanks dad.
