how did this happen?

i don't literally need an explanation * but do you ever look at your children and think
"how did this happen".
(the other question i love is:
when is their mom going to come pick them up?!
i would really like to go back to sleep.)
i remember being in 2nd grade and wendy (my sister) was graduating.
i thought- i will NEVER graduate, never! it seemed like it would take
F-O-R-E-V-E-R
to be a senior (grade 12 for you canadians).
look at me now.
i am the big 3-0
married
3 kids
YIKES!
i still feel like i am 17.
then i look at these sweet little people i hang out with everyday and can't believe they are:
1. alive
2. so cute
3. exceptional bright
4. fun to be around (most of the time)
5. MINE
i am the mother. me. are you sure? i remember the first time i went to pick up the babysitter and i didn't know what to do. i have never been the babysitter picker-upper. i was always the one being picked up. how can i be the mom?

I know exacty how you feel.  How did this happen.  You sure have some cute kids.  As for my girls hair just sponge rollers all over their head for a day and 1/2.  It turned out better than I thought it would.  I really like doing hair and trying new hairdos.  They don't really seem to mind either thankfully.

That is going to be me in a few years, hopefully no sooner. I'm sure every mom goes through that. I don't feel like I'm almost 24. I still feel 17 and feel I don't know anything.

Stace- I feel exactly the same way. How did I become the mom, my mom is the mom, not me. Wierd! But I'm glad they're mine (most days!)
