christmas eve

merry christmas! i can't believe it is already here. we had a quite and not so normal christmas eve. i thought i would just go to walmart "really quick" and get some last minute stuff we needed. so, most of you must be thinking "is she crazy" and the answer is - yes. i didn't think it would be too busy. i think it is all the pregnancy hormones. how did i not know that it would be CRAZY at walmart??
i went to walmart at 4:30 and didn't get back until 6:45. so brett and the girls had a nice christmas eve together. brett made some really good hamburgers (i know very festive) and i got to spend the night with the people in line at walmart! they was a really nice guy in front of me and a couple behind me that i talked to alot. the guy in front kept on telling me to fake labor so i could get though the line. he also got me so water when i started not feeling so well and offered to carry me grocery's to the car for me. he was really nice. the couple behind me were only buying rolls. i thought they were crazy to wait all that time to just buy rolls but they were really nice.
**moral of the story**
never NEVER NEVER go to walmart on christmas
don't even think about it.
after i got home we let the girls open some presents. they were so excited.
grandma edrington (brett's mom) made them some really cute blankets they HAD to sleep with that night. it was really cute. they also opened some books from grandpa hansen and we read those before bed.

You poor girl. That is awful. Waiting in line in walmart...standing when your are about to give birth is pretty painful. Way to endure for those last few items.

You went to Wal-Mart on Christmas Eve?!? Oh my goodness! You are a brave soul Stacey, and to stand forever in line like that! Thank goodness you had some nice people around you. I'm glad you had a nice Christmas. I must tell you, I loved seeing the picture with Mallory in her bed with the purple elephant. I fell in love with that animal the moment I laid eyes on it. I must say, when Brant and I put our BBQ together, we weren't so nice, lol. Glad to know we're not the only ones!
