11 years

we celebrated 11 years today with the x men movie and it was awesome!

1st hair cut!!

brett gave sloan his first hair trim today.

just a little off the back!

sloan sat still and didn't mind at all.

the kids were outside washing the cars with brett and i thought i would be super fun 

and do some water balloons.

well, i guess dollar store water balloons are unbreakable because

i threw one at liv and it just hit her and didn't break.

oops.  she was hurt and not happy.

i guess that didn't go over well.

maybe next time.

liv came home with this story from school today.

i thought it was so cute and send a text of the story to nana and papa.

i'm so glad liv has good memories of my childhood just like me!

one of mallory's friends lives in an apartment complex and invited us to swim!

the kids were so excited and we all had a great time.

working out

i have no idea why this work out band was out but it was and kale was 

been working out ever since.

he can hardly pull it at all but loves to try to punch things on the table. 

new shampoo

i usually let sloan eat food that isn't too messy

and i spoon feed him the messy stuff.

today i let him go at it with some baked ziti and he got it everywhere!

all over in his fair, his face, his clothes and hands/arms.

he kept putting his hands in his hair and laughing.

we would all start laughing and sloan would do it again.

we all tried not to laugh but sloan is just too funny!

he went right into the bath.

poetry and art show

mallory had a poetry and art show at school today.

mal was so brave and went FIRST!!

she has been practicing and practicing her poems.

she could say them in one breathe!  it was awesome.

i had to practice slowing the poems down with her.

it was great to see all her art work and see her cute class.

her teacher this year is ms. bernabeu.

mallory has loved being in her class!

flip flops of 2 kinds

i finally put sloans super cute flip flops on!

how does he keep getting cuter??

kale and hank were also doing flips and trying to flop into the baby pool.

they tried and tried but couldn't do it. 

it was very entertaining to watch.

swimming

we put the pool to good use today and had the gales over for a swim.

i got some action shots of the girls jumping in.

i got sloan all dressed up to go in his little pool and he didn't want much to do with it.

rose LOVED it and she kept jumping in over and over and laughing.

i got sloan dressed in clothes because he was cold and 

of course he went right in the pool. 

he sat down in clothes and shoes.

what a crazy boy!

happy memorial day!

we went to erin and jeff's today to celebrate memorial day and uncle pete's b day!

it was awesome and the kids just played and played!

jeffrey played pokeman with kale and he is hooked!

oh course i only have this one picture of the girls for some reason.

POOL!

we got the pool set up today!

we have had these pools on and off the last several years

and we have used them well!

kale was hilarious and got his life jacket on and tried to swim in about 4 inches of water.

i can't wait for summer!

the kids can't either!

last day of preschool

it was the actual last day of preschool today.

i had to get a photo of kale's fabulous teachers.

on the left, ms. tara and the right, ms. lynae.

they helped kale learn so much this year!

i would recommend them to anyone!

the kids got to color all the pictures in and sign their names.

BYU folk dancers!

crescent had an activity tonight.

the BYU folk dancers came and first put on a show. 

then the kids got to dance with them.

mal was in there like a dirty shirt!

she danced all over the place learning how to do ce doe and i whole bunch of other steps.

olivia was off with her friends and kale played his guts out on the playground.

sloan was such a good boy.  he just chilled on the blanket with me and brett.

oh, and he ate.  the whole time.  nothing unusual!
