bikes and parades

nana and papa have many cool bikes at their house.

we played outside many many times. 

the kids had parades and just rode around everywhere!

liv loved to push abby in the stroller.

barry also tried out the smallest bike and tractor.

again, amy and i thought it was just a bit funny!

he needed a little help from kale to get going!

awesome times at nana and papa's!

papa and barry got us some doughnuts!  yum!

red dog diner

we went to the Red Dog Diner tonight for some hot dogs.

they make everything the "quebec" way.

the owner is on the left, talking to us.

the hot dogs were yummy and we had poutine!



happenings

papa still has the ladders up in the backyard.

he still feeds the birds.

the kids helped him almost everyday!

 

some cousin wrestling happened today.

barry was the winner!

no one even got hurt this time!

this picture shows how happy ella and kale were to share with eachother.

each of them wanted to be the leader of the parade

the kids were putting on.

they would run in front of each other and scream and yell,

no, i want to be the leader! 

amy and i were laughing SO hard. 

we are such great moms!

7-11

papa finally took us to 7-11!

we walked down there all together tonight.

yay!  the kids were in heaven!

they got slurpees and candy!

papa treats you good when you come to canada!

raspberries

nana and papa have raspberries.

they have ALOT of raspberries.

we have been picking and picking!  that whole picture is of raspberry bushes!

i remember as a child being tortured and "made" to pick the raspberries.

i'm happy to report i'm passing the torture on to my kids!

except they love it!

i did get in there once with papa.

he had a whole suit on with boots and a hat.

i had shorts, a t shirt and flip flops on!

we got tons of berries and nana made jam!

YUMMY!!



the mall and canadian eats

we have been enjoying canada!

there are many special foods that canada has that we can't find in minneapolis,

so we went to the mall to have some.

here are mal and mady with some poutine.

fries with gravy and moza cheese.

YUM.

bad omens

as we were ready to leave this morning,

mallory hit her head on a door and split it open.

luckily, barry was there and got her all bandaged up. 

THEN, we were fainlly on our way and something happened with nana and papas

van and we had to stop at a ford dealership to get it fixed.

papa had to stay to get it fixed and he made us carry on without him!

nana came in our van and we were on our way.

papa started home just a couple hours after us

and did make it home tonight! 



church museum

next we went to the church museum.

they have a really funny kids section.

olivia LOVED the dancing area where they had videos to show you the steps

and really fun skirts to wear.

 kale and jacob went fishing.

there was even computers with games to play.

we had to drag the kids out of there!

temple square:take 2

we didn't get enough of temple square so we decided to go back!

we showed the kids the tabernacle. 

it was awesome!  a man was playing THE organ and it was incredible!

he was playing fasting and better with his feet then i do with my hands!

then we went to see the Christus.

 

 

mallory and mady switched flip flops. 

they were so excited and cute about it.

temple square

 

we went to temple square today. 

cousin jason took wonderful pictures of all the families and then all together!

the kids loved the temple!

it was fun to walk around and look at all the beautiful buildings.

sara and bekah took all the little kids to explore at the park we stopped at.

they are the best cousins you could ask for!

we were going to have lunch at a lovely park, but it was just TOO hot.

so, we went back to the hotel and ate there.
