trick or treating group

we went trick or treating on halloween.

the kids had TONS of fun!

langstons invited us to trick or treat in their neighborhood and we got tons of candy!!

funny story...

we were at the last house for trick or treating.  we all went up to the door and there was a statue of a man sitting on a bench.  it had black pants and shirt, face covered with a black mask and had shoes on.  it looked just a little too real to me.  i went up to it and started talking to it. 

nothing.

i even said that i was going to kick the statue to see if he would move.

i didn't.  by then the woman came to the door to give the kids their candy.

the statue jumped up and scared THE CRAP out of me.

i seriously screamed bloody murder and scared all the kids!

then we all laughed like crazy! 

it was one of the funniest halloweens ever!!

i wanted to take some photos of the kids for halloween and i

saw this pretty tree at mal's preschool.

we went by after school one day and got some pretty good pics.

these kids are hilarous. 

they were all being little hams!! 

mallory's class party

mallory had a class halloween party. 

she was so excited to go dressed up.

she decided to be super girl for this party.

kale and i got to go at the end and hand out candy to all the kids.

kale didn't want to give the candy away, so he was pouting in this picture.

sure is cute, even when he is pouting.

livy's school party

we went to liv's class today for the halloween parade.

she has such a great teacher and fun classmates. 

she is loving kindergarten!! 

they got to walk around the school and show off their costumes. 

kale was very upset he didn't get to go in the parade!

we decided to keep the tradition of decorating halloween cookies this year.

i made alot of cookies and there was alot of decorating.

then we got the pumpkins out and carved away.

kale wanted a super hero, both olivia and mallory wanted scray faces.

all 3 kids actually got there hands in the pumpkins and got the guts out.

i was a proud momma!

trunk or treat

we went to a trunk or treat at the church.

there was a family dance and then the treating!

the kids had a blast.

the kids are using the old trick or treat bags that my mom made for me and my siblings as kids.

the kids got some cards from grandma jodeene and aunt diane with money inside!!

we went to the dollar store and spent their money.

they had the time of their life picking out what they wanted!

they got a toy, a book, a coloring book and some painting papers.

the blog shwin and shwin needed pattern testers for

a jacket she was making a pattern for!

i got chosen!!  i am so pleased with the results!!

mallory likes the jacket too!

OUTSIDE!!

we have been playing outside as much as we can lately!!

it has cooled off and we are having a beautiful FALL!

i was worried we might go from summer right to winter! 

i am also deep into the cutting, sanding for our wards craft day!!

i see her!

olivia goes to school ALL DAY now,

we miss her when she is gone, especially mal and kale.

here is what happens when she walks home from school.

i didn't realize when i had children how precious their love for eachother would be.

it makes me smile ear to ear and tear up every now and then to think

of these kids and how much they love eachother.

it makes me think of my sisters and brothers,

how much i love and adore each of them!

WOW!  it's so cool that my kids feel THAT for eachother!!

olivia has disobeyed us and decided to turn 6 instead of staying 5!

she had a great day.  got to go to school and go on a fieldtrip

to an apple orchard!  isn't that great!

she had a ton of fun and was a happy girl.

mal, kale and i decorated before dinner and

 blindfolded liv to come up and see it.

she requested tator tot casserole for her birthday dinner.

then we opened presents.  she got some great stuff!

we then decided to take her to a secret location for birthday dessert.

we blindfolded her again and took her to coldstone for ice cream.

it was a great birthday.

nana gave olivia a set of boxes with little presents inside several of them.

it was hilarious to watch her open it!!

best present ever! 

kale thought the pillow case nana made olivia was a new blanket.

i can't believe it has been 6 years since this girl came to our family!!

olivia is a great sister and always thinks of new fun games to play.

liv loves to draw, color, cut and glue anything she can find.

she is getting to be quite the little singer and has started piano lessons with me!

she has many friends and always wants to play with someone.

olivia is doing great in school and comes home ready to do her homework.

we are so grateful to have her in our family!!
