scheels

went to scheels today.

we needed to get out of the house!

there's lots to do at scheels and it was so good to get out.

the girls rode the ferris wheel too!

they are very brave.

a new guest at the table

sloan started eating food at 4 months.

our big boy is hungry!  

i usually put the blue baby chair on the table to feed him but he's getting too big for that.

so, today he joined us at the table.  

he is getting so big it is awesome but sad at the same time.

a little obsessed

the girls are still making bracelets all the time.

this present was one of the best we have given them.

they get on youtube and watch videos how to make new designs.

it's so cool to see how creative they are.

stairs??

really?

he's been crawling for 2 mins and we are on to the stairs?

sloan really needs to simmer down now and stop 

figuring this stuff out.

he's breaking my heart!

somebody is going to be crawling soon!  he is up on all 4's trying to move.

he just won't slow down.

he's always trying to figure out the next step.

temple square

we went to temple square tonight to see the lights.

it is so beautiful there.

the grounds are just gorgeous with all those lights!

the kids loved it and i'm sure it will be a christmas tradition.

this is where my dad proposed to my mom 46 years ago!!!

liv found a polly pocket dress and made a doll out of her finger.

i thought it was pretty smart!

i love this girl!

most days

this is what are table looks like.  

these kids LOVE to color and draw. 

they will be entertained for hours.

i have many, many works of art on my walls.

ginger bread houses!!!

we started another new tradition this year!

ginger bread houses.  the best part is the gingerbread is from ikea.

they are the cutest little houses and i only had to make the icing!

we went to the dollar store and lots of candy.

the kids went to town and decorated until there was no space left.

especially mallory.  she decorated for at least an hour.

she is kept adding and adding.  oh, and eating and eating!

grandma jodeene is still here and it was nice to have an extra set of hands.

rainbow loom ALL DAY!

the girls each got a rainbow loom for christmas.

these girls have gone crazy with bracelets.

they had made one for everyone they see.

me, brett, kale, eachother, grandpa earl, grandma jodeene, jenni, josh! 

nobody got left out.

now they want to start making bracelets for everyone in their classes.

i'm so happy they love their present and are being creative!

tired

all the fun of today made sloan a tired boy!  

we found him on the floor asleep!

we had a great morning!

the kids didn't wake up until 6 am.  

i thought they would be up much earlier since all 3 kids were in the girls room.

sloan slept through the whole thing! 

it was actually really nice and made everything so easy.

these are the robes i made for the kids!

i'm so glad they like them!

christmas eve was really special this year.

santa had just come, presents were under the tree, stockings were stuffed.

i was turning off all the lights.

went to unplug the tree and perfectly hit the paper tray on our printer to slice my forehead open.

so dumb.  i didn't think it was actually cut, so i hit the printer (haha) and cried for a minute. 

then i could feel the blood coming down my face.

i drove myself to the ER across the freeway and they glued it back together.

as tradition says, kids sleep together christmas eve!

scared gifts

what a great way to spend christmas eve.

we went to the scared gifts at the BYU museum of art.

the painting were just gorgeous!

it was wonderful to go and remember the real reason for season.
