love, yellow and fires.

LOVE:
THIS BOY!
both brett and i just can't seem to get enough of this sweet boy.
he is talking up a storm now, not much of it makes since but it is adorable.
he knows some sign language, more, please, bath.
you know the important ones.
he is really close to walking.
he loves being outside, his blankie and milk.
LOVE LOVE LOVE HIM!

oh, he just got 2 new teeth on the bottom.  8 total now.

the kiddos are always playing my keyboard.
they sing and dance, even kale.

YELLOW:
olivia had color days at school this last month.
this is her yellow outfit.
she is really enjoying preschool and is well-behaved, much to my surprise.

FIRE:
the other night, we were all sleeping, 1AMish.  a siren wakes me up, they always go by our house.  we live on a busy road.  but this time it was different.  the sirens didn't go away and pass us.  they seemed to stop right by our house!
(if any of you remember, just a couple of months ago, i awoke to a car
on fire outside the SAME widow.)
i woke up, looked outside and a firetruck was in the neighbors driveway.
the neighbors house was ON FIRE.
how weird/crazy is that!
we watched in amazment for a couple of minutes then brett went over to tell the firemen the neighbors could come stay in our house if they wanted to.
the neighbors were ok and we went back to bed.
it was an electrical fire and everyone is ok.
isn't that just strange.
apparently we are bad luck for our street?

party on!

i asked mallory what she wanted to eat for her party,
of course she said pizza!
when planning this party, i realized mallory has all older friends.
only one other child was 3 the rest are older.
i thought it was kind of funny.

aren't they all so cute.
they were very good and played and played and had tons of fun.

here is the cake.
the party was all about bugs, since mallory loves bugs.

i kept on "bugging" the kids that the "dirt" was real dirt.
it was pretty entertaining.

the birthday girl with grapes in her cheeks.
it was much cuter in person.

the bubba's.  he napped for most of it, but got to come outside and play.

this is dr. madsen.  the horses were sick and he was looking after them.

this is josh.
he is in olivia's preschool class and he loves her.
he has already asked brett if he can marry olivia!!  how cute is that!
BUT, mallory seems to love him.  adorable to watch them.
a little love line? (not the show).

princess outfits everywhere!

mallory got some really cool gifts.  she was very excited.

the whole crew.
aren't they so cute.  they were all very well-behaved and we all had a great time.

funny faces.

i forgot to take a picture of the best part of the party.  the treat bag.  i found a bug catcher at the dollar store and got one for each of the kids and packed it full of bug stuff.  they LOVED it.

the best part about having this party happened a couple days after when someone asked mallory how her birthday was.  she responded "all my friends got to come over".
that made the 4 hours of crazy fun worth it!

big news.

mallory had a pluggie.  she loves pluggie.
she would bring the nasty thing out all the time and couldn't sleep without it.
well.  couple weeks before her birthday i took beloved pluggie away, just for naps.
she did great.
i kept on telling her, on your birthday you will not be able to have plug
because big girl 3 year olds don't have plugs.
she totally believed me!
so, on her birthday i took it away.
i know, what a nice birthday present!
she got up a couple of times the next 2 nights
but is doing great.
she doesn't even ask about it.
DONE.

one morning, before we got rid of it, she came out with her plug.
i asked her "what is that?"
she did this...
isn't she so cute.
yay!  for no more plug!
good job mal!

happy birthday mallory!

i can't believe this sweet, turning out to be VERY sassy girl is 3.
she is our funny girl and is very tough.
we had a momma/daughter date right before i took her to the doctor.
we went to mcdonalds and had some breakfast.  it was nice to be with just her.
her stats:
height: 37 3/4 inches 75%
weight: 33lbs 75%
(on her 3rd birthday.  she was really excited about that).
she is such a sweet girl and is always thinking of her siblings, especially olivia.
if we give her something, she always askes for one for olivia.
she knows most of her colors and shapes.  she even knows some numbers and letters!
she dies to go to preschool with olivia and has got to stay a couple times.
everyone who meets mallory loves her.  there is just something about her.
she loves nursey and charms all the nursey leaders.
the leaders would take her home if they could!
she loves to coloring, play outside and loves her friends.
she is potty trained.  she just decided one day.  i had nothing to do with it.
it was fabulous!
we love you mally girl!
thanks for being a part of our family.

doesn't mallory have the cutest smile in this picture.  she looks so grown up!
she is opening up her first present of the day.  i had just, seconds before, finished sewing it.

i made her this 3 shirt and the skirt.  she loves anything pink and ladybugs!

brett and i made her this sign to wake up to and we did the streamers on her door.

mallory with her haul.  this is just from us and the grandparents!
she had a great day.
i can't believe she is 3!
we are having a friend party this weekend.
more about that later.

i LOVE books, so we got them all a book, a card and some chocolate,
except kale got squash. poor boy
they loved it.

i made the girls skirts for heart day.
they didn't take them off for days so i think they may like them.
the tutorial for the skirt is here.

SNOW

it snowed just a little the other day.  brett needed to shovel so we could get out of our driveway.
so the girls got suited up and went out with dad.
it was alittle chilly so me and kale stayed in.
the girls LOVED it.

say "cheese"

i took this picture to show how deep it really was!
LOTS of snow.

look at that sweet face.

brett, being the good dad he is, was shovelling snow at the girls.
it was very funny.
here is mallory trying to get away from one of the shovel fulls.
you can see the snow in the top right corner.

she is always so silly.

look at my man, looking so manly!
wooh!  smokin' hot!

faces getting cold.

here is sweet bubba.
he really wanted to be out there but it was just too cold.
we watched from one of his favorite places.  the front window.

cake and stats

happy birthday to kale again!
i made cake for kale.  he didn't really like getting dirty.
brett helped him eat it and get into it.
he was not liking the cake on his hands.

he did like the cake.  here is proof.

he stayed pretty clean.  so cute.

STATS: 1 year
height: 31 1/2 in.  95%
weight:  22 lbs 2 oz  50%
head:  48 cm.  75%

he is just adorable.
he plays peek a boo.  SO CUTE.
says dada, mameee, night night and just jabbers away.
he loves to dance and sing.  his favorite song is itsy bitsy spider.
we sing it about 1000 times a day.
he is pulling up on everything, cruzing and loves to walk around holding onto your fingers.
he loves animals.  he will see one and FREAK OUT.  pointing and making animal noises.
he is my first baby to love milk and is almost all the way off formula.
he really likes to bug  play with his sisters and get in everything they have carefully set up.
he is always looking at a book or crawling over to me to read one.
olivia and mallory love to act out books for him and he laughs and laughs.
he is a sweet little guy and we love him.
happy birthday kale!
(ps. he also LOVES to play in the toilet!
you think you have shut the door, nope!  laughing and splashing.
there he is just playing away in the water.  FABULOUS.
i guess i do have 2 sweet girls to "help" me keep the door closed!
i should just gave him the scrubber and let him clean.)

kale decided to share his cake with his sisters!
wasn't that nice!
here is olivia decorating her orange cake.
orange is her favorite.

mallory decorating her pink cake.
pink is her favorite.

finished products.

eating.

they were so excited.

BIG bite.

daddy helped olivia eat too.  right in her cake.
she thought it was hilarious.

she decided to get into the cake too.

mallory after daddy helped her.

they loved it.

i should have helped brett here and not taken a picture.
what was i thinking??
i think we may do individual birthday cakes for everyone every birthday now.
way to fun!
