kids and finished projects

here are the finished skirts.
you can find the tutorial here.
they were labor intensive but easy and turned out
FANASTIC!
(if i do say so myself).
now i just have to let them play in them and not worry about getting them dirty!
cute huh??
i made this little onesie for kale too.
i really do have the sewing bug!
here is the tutorial for it.
we had to have a little photo shoot, again!

i even got a smile from kale!

ummm, i heart them (today)!

the little man.
he can ALMOST sit up!

projects

i have really caught the sewing bug lately. it is so fun. i have many projects in the works, of course, but here is a finished one.
like i need another bag but this one will be used for the upcoming beach trip!
hugely perfect for beach towels, sunscreen and a book and maybe kale!yes, olivia can git inside it. i didn't think it was going to be THAT big.
brett has also been busy. we got a new entertainment center (craigslist for $20, i LOVE craigslist) and so brett made us night stands from the old entertainment center.
they are awesome.
HIS
HERSbrett is also re-doing a sewing desk for me! i am so excited for the final product!
pictures when finished, it's going to be so cute!

annie and other strange things

olivia and mallory have discovered
annie
(the old verison that i use to watch).
they ask to watch it everyday and some days i let them. like today.
here they are laying on the couch watching....
then as ms. hanagen comes out-they get behind the couch pillows and hide from her.
brett and i can also do a mean 'omorrow'duet!
crazy baby kale. this is how brett found him sleeping the other day.
that's right, backwards in the carseat.
olivia made this sweet tower. if you look closely, each side is identical.
well, almost until mallory started to "help".

brett got a really good smoothie face the other morning!

100 posts!

wow.
i can't believe i have done 100 posts.
the girls and i just went down blog memory lane. it was awesome to see the way our family has grown and all the fun things we have done. whoever thought of the blogging thing was brillant! what a great way to remember and share your life.
thanks to all those who stop by and keep in touch with us but most of all thanks to brett, olivia, mallory and kale for letting me blog about you (not that you have a choice).

photo shoot

sweet little kale.
he is getting so big and so expressive.
he will smile and laugh and talk to you. he is just adorable.
i guess he is going to be a momma's boy!
he just got his first tooth too.

here he is just after his bath.
grandma jo got him this towel. isn't it cute!
thanks grandma.

this is my favorite one.

all smiles.

very serious.

bunk beds

the girls now have their beds bunked. they are so cute about it. mallory even tells random people "olivia sleeps up and i sleep down". i just got them some new matching sheets and i LOVE them. it makes the beds look so girlie!

4th of july

we had a great 4th this year. we went to madsen's and since it rained ALL day, we ate, played games, watched a movie and had a ton of fun.
aaron grilled some steak for the boys and chicken for the girls and kids.
here is dessert. i made cupcakes and we decorated them. the kids LOVED it.
mallory and jeremy. aren't they cute.
madsen's have a ton of costumes and the girls love to dress up while we are there. olivia and wesley. waiting, waiting to have a cupcake.
i got cute "4th of july" cupcake papers and they even came with little spinners!
aren't they so cute.

kids and dads watching a movie.

madsens have a great game called killer bunnies. we were having so much fun that we didn't go home until 10 PM.

june?

I LOVE SUMMER!
so much fun! we have been enjoying the HOT weather and doing tons of stuff.
this is liv's "after smoothie" face. she isn't bruised, that's blackberry/raspberry smoothie ALL over her face. it makes the circle of her cup! i love it. brett makes us all smoothie's in the morning. he even puts spinach in it!
little update on bubbas. he is 5 months now. he is still totally adorable.
he is trying to sit up, puts EVERYTHING in his mouth, loves his sisters and lights up when daddy comes in the room.
i am pretty sure he weights around 18 lbs. he has chub everywhere!
he is eating like a champ now, mush, sweet potatoes and squash!
he also loves water.

here he is sleeping. aren't his little toes so cute.
yes, he does still sleep in his carseat. i know, i should have him in his crib, but he sleeps so much better in the seat and he is the third and i don't really care as long as he SLEEPS!
he has started to move around in his seat and get almost all the way out.
THEN HE WILL FALL ASLEEP!
his booty on the ground and his head where his booty goes!

we have done some baking. even kale helped!
found a new jogging stroller! kale loves it so we go on long walks almost everyday.

the girls are getting along so well these days.
they are getting to be such great friends.
they play and play and play.
olivia is very protective of mallory, SHE is the only one that gets to hurt her!

mallory can now sport some pig tails!
she is beyond adorable!

making cheese cake! first "real" one ever. it was so good.
key lime. yum.

my two main men! kale LOVES to swim.
brett tried to take him out and kale started crying because he wanted to come back in!
our little fish
mally moo
we are signed up for free bowling! the girls LOVED it.
livy even got some spares.
mallory was so excited about the whole thing, she would grab the ball and run and fall.
it was precious! she did really good.

the girls also went to a "vacation bible school" one week. they had a great time and made all sorts of stuff. i couldn't believe mally went! she loved it. of course olivia went and made tons of new friends. livy talks about "the Father" all the time now. they even learned some fun new songs. it was a little vacation for me! i got some stuff organized, did some cleaning, hung out with kale and did some shopping with one kid (aka heaven).

hope you are all having a great summer.

what have you been doing?
