pallets

i randomly got some pallets and cut them all apart into workable wood today!

yay.  i can't wait to make some stuff with these!

silly mal

mally got this mustache from the doctor today.

she looks so serious but she couldn't keep it on too long.

it was tickling her face.

i love this girl!

leprechauns beware

mal and i got to make a leprechaun trap for school.

here it is, i'm pretty proud of our work!

thank goodness for pinterest.

mal didn't catch a leprechaun but maybe next year she said.

we had a pretty low key st. paddy's day.

i made rice krispie treats with lucky charms for a treat and some green bread for dinner.

the kids also got to use their sweet straw glasses!

they want to use them everyday.

b day party for mal!

mal had every friend and cousin possible over for a birthday party today!

the girls came over in their pj's!

we had pizza and a fancy drink with licorice straws.

we decorated treat bags, put on make up, painted nails, jumped on the tramp a tons, 

decorated and ate cupcakes and then had a pinata!

mallory had a great time and all the girls got a long.

the boys

i love these boys. 

they are already the best of friends!

we played outside today and kale was great to share his motorcycle with sloan.

sloan was in heaven!

all about olivia

it was olivia's turn for all about me for school.

it's so fun to work on these posters with the girls.

i love getting to know them better.

rainbows cupcakes!

mallory wanted rainbow cupcakes for her b day party.

her birthday wish was my command!

i love making these cupcakes, they always turn out so cool!

first swing

we went on a walk today and stopped at the park.

sloan had his first swing and did NOT like it.

hopefully he warms up to the idea.

he will probably be like kale and want to run around and play more than swing.

sad

maybe i should comfort him instead of take pictures of him?

he was so sad today.  teething is making him and me not so happy.

trampoline

we got a small trampoline a couple of weeks ago and sloan loves it.

he climbs up on it and tried to bounce on his bum.

then to get off the tramp, he goes head first and slides off.

freshly bathed

nothing better than freshly bathed babies.

sloan outside

usually sloan stays inside and watches the kids from the window but today i bundled 

him up and let him go outside.

he loved being out there with the big kids and only slightly froze.

boys

i made kale try on this little suit coat jacket today.

i LOVE little boys in suits.

kale does NOT and would probably cry if i actually bought it for him.

then there's this boy!  look at that lip.  how could you get mad at that sweet face?

hello spring

spring is coming.

at least my kids think so.  they wanted to have a snack outside today and 

had to move the picnic bench out into the sun to stay warm.

i love this coat!!  

i have him wear it as much as possible.  

i'm going to be so sad when he out grows it.

i want to eat him.

what is it about sleeping babies and babies in general that makes you want to eat them?

sunday walks

went down to the river trail tonight.

the kids thought it was a tad bit to cold but we got some good exercise in!

we threw rocks in the river, saw tons of birds and ran around crazy.

we can't wait for spring.

our sweet mally girl turned 7 today!

she got to go out to kneaders for breakfast YUM!

they picked out her birthday cake (cupcakes) while they were there.

nana and papa sent us a fun birthday chair cover and place mat.  

mallory was the first one to use them!

i had to include this instagram picture because mallory told me to how to take the picture.

then told me what to put on the picture and to post it to instagram.

she is one smart girl.

first doughnut

sloan got his first doughnut today.

this boy will eat anything you give him, really.

green beans, peppers, even yucky tomatoes and 

treats are no different.

he downed the doughnut in record time.

provo

we went down to provo today.  

went to krispy kreme and got some doughnuts.

do you know they give you free doughnuts when the "hot doughnut" light is on?

i didn't.  i have never actually gone to a krispy kreme so i was surprised.

then we went to the mall and played around.  

grandpa earl met us at the creamery to have lunch!

it was a fun day.  we love provo and wish we lived closer.

creative baby gate

sloan is obsessed with the stairs and since we have 3 sets of them we have 

gotten creative with baby gates.

the leftover card board from the slide is a great baby gate and super easy to store!

the girls found an old diaper box and have been pushing sloan around all day!

yay for older sisters! 

temple square

today was stake conference so naturally we went to temple square again.  

it was BRIGHT outside so picture taking was not so great.

we walked all around temple square.  saw the temple, assembly hall and 

looked at all there is at the visitors center.

there is tons of cool stuff in the basement of the visitors center i didn't know about!

then we went to the church history museum.  

they have a great kids section and we played there for quite some time.

a great way to spend our sunday.

i could not get over how cute these two boys looked in this car!
