kids fair

we went to the kids fair today.

there were about 1 million people there but it was still fun.

lots of stuff to do and see.

liv was SUPER brave and put the snake around her neck!

ikea box

i found a huge ikea box at a neighbors and of course i asked if we could have it.

it is SO big and the kids have been coloring all over it all day!

pluggies

sloan loves his pluggies.

i just tried to take away his plug and this is the look he gave me!

outside!!

we went outside today!

kale took his remote control car out and drove it around while 

me and sloan did some cleaning in the garage.

it was so nice to get outside!

best big brother

kale is the best and sweetest big brother ever. 

he helps with sloan all the time.  gets him his blanket or his plug.

if sloan is ever sad and crying kale will sing him "i am a child of God" 

and sloan calms right down.

i love these sweet boys!

fasting

we fasted for nana and papa today.

even mallory and olivia fasted for one meal this morning.

we hope nana and papa can feel our love and support!

pretty hair

aren't these girls gorgeous!

i learned how to use a straightener to curl the girls hair!

it takes forever but it looks so pretty. 

the girls and i both love it!

we celebrated by having special drinks.

cherry 7 up and vanilla ice cream with a licorice straw.

it was a hit.

mals valentine party!

sloan, kale and i went to mal's valentine party at school.

mal was so excited.  she has such a cute class and such great friends.

we decorated cookies, played games and had a great time.

mal is one of only 5 girls in her class!

valentine mailbox

liv and i made a valentine box for her this year.

we looked all over pinterest and found a design liv liked.

then we got to making it!  i had all the supplies in my craft hoard which was awesome.

it's so fun to be creative with these kids!

v day treats

we made the chocolate covered pretzels for the kids teachers again this year.

it has become a tradition i guess.

the kids love to help and be able to tell their teachers they made the treat themselves.

i love that my kids will get involved and help out.

hope fully this will be some of the fond memories when the kids get older.

another one gone

mal lost another tooth today.  

she is a puller.

if any tooth is even slightly lose, she will get it out pretty quick!

i love cupcakes

there was a funeral at church today and they asked for help with the food so 

i signed up for cupcakes.  

i love cupcakes.

i love that they are small and cute.

i love that they are cake and frosting.

i got some new frosting tips and they are awesome!

as shown in the picture, i can make cupcakes that look all fancy with the new tips!

and to frost them fancy takes less time then frosting them with a knife.

reading with dad

the kids were reading tonight with brett.

i just love these special moments.

even though there usually isn't pictures of me reading with the kids,

it does happen quite a bit and i hope they remember me reading to them too.

9 month old

we have a 9 month old today.  

i can't believe this boy has been around for this long!

he is such a good boy and we love him a little too much sometimes!

thanks for coming to our family little guy!

testing

i have been doing more pattern testing lately.

it really keeps me sewing and trying new things!

i love the challenge and helping designers make their patterns better.

pinterest fail

we tried a recipe for playdough from pinterest today.

it did not work so well.

the girls thought it was awesome trying to get it into playdough 

but it never came together.

it was really hard to get off their hands.

so, for future reference, the conditioner and cornstarch playdough does not work.

happy birthday to me and sally

sally and i celebrated our birthday's together with an ice cream cake from nana and papa!

sally made me and the kids dinner and then the kids sang to us!

it was a fun night.

we are getting OLD!

love this boy

i can't help myself but post tons of pictures of this little one.

he is so darn adorable!

he's sleeping so great now and it's wonderful, for both of us!

100 days of school

it's mals 100th day of school today!

she had to bring 100 of something small so we decided on googly eyes.

i can't believe it's already been 100 days!
