testing

i have been doing more pattern testing lately.

it really keeps me sewing and trying new things!

i love the challenge and helping designers make their patterns better.

pinterest fail

we tried a recipe for playdough from pinterest today.

it did not work so well.

the girls thought it was awesome trying to get it into playdough 

but it never came together.

it was really hard to get off their hands.

so, for future reference, the conditioner and cornstarch playdough does not work.

happy birthday to me and sally

sally and i celebrated our birthday's together with an ice cream cake from nana and papa!

sally made me and the kids dinner and then the kids sang to us!

it was a fun night.

we are getting OLD!

i can't help myself but post tons of pictures of this little one.

he is so darn adorable!

he's sleeping so great now and it's wonderful, for both of us!

100 days of school

it's mals 100th day of school today!

she had to bring 100 of something small so we decided on googly eyes.

i can't believe it's already been 100 days!

olivia had "wear your pj's to school" today.

preschool birthday!

kale got to celebrate his birthday at preschool ON his actual birthday!

he wanted to bring doughnuts!

he wanted chocolate with sprinkles and powdered sugar ones.

they were a hit with the preschoolers.

it's kales birthday today! 

i can't believe he is already 5!

we started his day with the door streamers, we made a yummy breakfast!

kale got several presents and we went to panda express for dinner!

oh my poor boy!  

he has a double ear infection and got some penicillin.

well, that didn't go so well.

on day 7 he got a little rash.

sloan is allergic to penicillin.

luckily i caught it quick and stopped giving him the meds.

the rash just keep getting worse though.

poor guy.

hopefully it goes away soon.

how did he get so big

my kale is getting so big.

you know the saying, the days are long and the years are short.

i never understood that saying until i had kids.

oh, the days are some time long.

but these years, they are flying by.

this girl is so silly.

she keeps us laughing everyday!

his eyes light up when brett comes in the room.

it is so sweet!  makes my heart melt.

chucky cheese

happy birthday to brooks!

kale went to chucky cheese today for brooks birthday party.

he was so excited and couldn't wait to get there.  

it was an awesome party!

i think kale wants to live at chucky cheeses now!

standing up already

this baby boy is in a hurry to grow up!  

he is standing up everywhere now.

we just can't seem to slow him down!

scheels

we went to scheels today to see them feed the fish.

you can see the guys feet in the tank at the top of the picture.

the kids thought it was pretty cool.  

then we rode the ferris wheel.

i'm not going to lie, it was scary!

i don't know if any of us want to go back! lol.

it was fun but that pit in my stomach just isn't worth it.

wrestling

sloan already loves to wrestle.  

it is so funny to watch him "get" the kids.

he was getting the girls good today!

best friend sisters

i found the girls playing the kindle like this today.

it makes me so happy they are such good friends.

it makes me think of my own sisters and how we have been life long friends!

SNOW

it snowed just a little today.

yikes.
