hollywood connection!

before we even moved to Utah I found a groupon for Hollywood connection. 

so today we took the kids.  they had tons of fun. 

there was lots to do.  we rode the dragon roller coaster and other rides, played in the arcade

and TRIED to go roller skating. 

I haven't laughed so hard in a really long time!  the poor kids couldn't roller skate at all.

kale put the skates on but after trying to skate to the rink, took them right back off!  the girls got onto the rink and fell down several times.  they tried so hard but just couldn't get the motion.

so, we went and rode the rides again. 

I don't think we will be roller skating anytime soon! 

 

scheels

we started the day off with breakfast at ikea.  I can't tell you how much I love living right by it!!  then we went to scheels sports store right down the road and rode the ferris wheel! 

mal really didn't want to go so brett said he would go with her.  so liv and kale ended up together.

kale was scared too and liv was such a good sister.  in the picture of them you can tell how scared liv and kale BOTH are but she stayed calm and reassured kale.  liv was so brave!

mal did great with daddy of course! 

it may become a Friday after school tradition.

dry heat!

it is HOT here.  not MN humid hot but 95 dry heat.

I love it.  it's so nice!  you can sit in the shade and it's cooler.  so great!

we DO NOT miss the humidity!

some neighbor friends came over and the kids jumped on the trampoline with water!

it's so fun to have friends 3 doors down!

nutella

we haven't had nutella for a long time for some reason,

but by the look of these kids faces we have some now!

flower friday

my fabulous husband has started a new tradition

flower Friday.

who doesn't love fresh flowers?

just makes the house happy.

the bus and all sorts of stuff

we finally found the bus stop and the girls took the bus today!

Olivia and Mallory were so excited. 

it's a dream come true!

I gave mal and liv a little snack in their lunches!

he is also loving his feet.

the girls had to take a bag with 3 things about them.

Mallory picked these things out all by herself. 

I LOVED her choices and how well she knows herself.

she put pictures of her family because she loves her family.

then a bottle of perfume because she loves all things make up, hair, nails.

last, a paper snowflake she made because "she's crafty". 

that last one is my favorite!  I love a crafty girl!

this boy is adorable.  

we can NOT get enough of him.

he sits awesome in the bumbo now

and still lays on the floor holding his feet all the time.

I also think his hair is red!! 

what if his hair is red??

time will tell....

 

food

there are so many places to eat here!  yikes.

maybe Utah won't be too bad? 

our new view with old friends

 we woke up to a new view today.  wow.  a little different!

 we got the girls off to school and kale got an awesome surprise!

one of his best friends from Minnesota was here in Utah visiting

and took him to the thanksgiving point dinosaur museum AND ikea.

it might have been the best day of kale's life!

brett and I got to 5 whole hours of awesome unpacking!

 

 

first day of school

 

nothing like getting right into things!

the girls started school today!

they were so excited and nervous about starting a new school!

we talked about what to expect and the kids all got father's blessings from brett.

it was such an answer to our prayers when we got there and Olivia's had six cute girls in her class line and one said "oh!! can she sit by me".  it was just what Olivia needed!

they came home happy and had a great day! yay!



we live in utah

 

I can't believe we live in Utah.  this is crazy.

what a change and a quick one at that.

after another long day we are here.

the truck is unpacked.  we have beds set up for all of us.

aunt diane came with the best house warming present, FOOD!

tons of it.  she was so thoughtful and it meant so much to all of us.

sally, brian and Gideon also came and helped unload the truck and unpack.
