gideon needed one

i love making chenille blankets and so i made one for gideon.

i wanted to have it done by his blessing day, but of course,

i didn't get it done!  but, it's done and ready to go to utah with us!

it matches the diaper bag i made for sally!

hope sal and gideon like it!

fireworks

we had a very busy 4th of july and finished the day off watching

 the fireworks with the galloways and some of the paynes!

the fireworks are done right down the street at the high school

 so we just sat on in our yard and watched!  it was great to not have to leave.

we had treats, glow sticks, and paper lanterns.

there were 3 paper lanterns, one for each family.

so the dad's lit them on fire and let them go.

well, the other 2 went straight up and away but ours.

ours went straight into the neighbors tree!

it was just a tad bit scary!  luckily it just burned out and floated down.

it was almost more exciting then the fireworks!

the lake house 4th of july

we got invited to go to a lake house with some friends for the 4th of july.

it was a perfect day!

the house was right on the water and had some sand for the kids to play in. 

i didn't get too many pics of liv because she was a wild woman.

she just jumped off the dock all day. 

liv was also brave enough to ride on the tube couch behind the boat.

she loved it and would have gone over and over!

kale and mal loved to swim in the lake and play in the sand!

we are super excited because once you get invited,

 it's an open invite for every 4th of july! 

pattern testing again

i got to pattern test again for the shwin and shwin blog. 

she makes up the cutest, easier patterns. 

the shirt came together very quick and mallory LOVES it.

YMCA splash park

i had to force the kids to go to the splash pad.

they only wanted to go to the inside pool.

but i won and they did end up having a good time, of course!

we did go inside and swim in the big pool after being outside.

we are getting ready to go on our big trip! 

we can't wait.

our harvest

got some more raspberries today!

i'm so glad i am taking the time to pick them!

4th of july barbque

we went to the langstons for a potluck barbque today.

there was tons of food and great friends!

our kids, of course couldn't stay away from the water and got totally drenched!

by the look on mal's face, im pretty sure they were having FUN!
