egg hunt 2012

here are the kids ready to find some eggs!

it's all so exciting when you are a kid! 

kale's eggs were green, mal's were pink and liv's were orange!

the girls could leave kale's eggs for him to find since the easter bunny

hid them easier for him!

greg came for the egg hunt and dinner.

it's always a party when greg is here!

we dyed easter eggs today!

we also painted them, colored on them and put stickers on them!

we didn't spill the dye but we had pretty dirty hands by the end!

fridays happenings

the girls coloring in their new easter books. 

these two love to color!

wendy and kenny had our kids over for a sleepover tonight.

we decided to go to the temple!!

we haven't been in way to long and never to the st. paul temple.

it was so nice and calming,

the kids had the best time at their sleepover!

when i went to pick them up saturday morning they didn't

want to leave! 

it was the first time we have left kale!! 

easter surprise

we got a package in the mail from grandpa earl!!

you can see how excited the kids are! 

grandpa earl spoiled us and we got all sorts of treats,

beautiful new crayons and coloring books.

grandpa knows just what we like!

it's starting to get nice here!! 

the kids played outside today while i was working on some projects.

all 3 kids still love the bike trailor and cart eachother around the yard!

whatever makes them happy and wears them out!!

sewing lessons

today olivia did her first sewing!

it warmed this momma's heart and bought back many memories

of sewing with my mom!

i am so excited to share the love of

all things handmade

with my sweet girls!

liv did a great job sewing.

it was so sweet, she could have made anything

but chose to make a shoulder bag for mallory

with ladybug fabric!

olivia's start to a lifetime of sewing!

brett even thinks the blanket is super cool!

daddy's day

mal had daddy's day at preschool.

mallory was sooo excited.

she couldn't wait to go and have daddy all to herself!

they read some books, colored masks, got some balloons and had rootbeer floats!

they had a great time!

a new obession

i started making a faux chenille blanket yesterday.

i am obessed.  i did all the sewing in 2 days, about 3 1/2 hours. 

i just couldn't stop.

hear it is ready to cut.

i am going to cut it right now.

then you just put it in the dryer and watch it become fabulous!

blues clues

liv and mal found some paw prints today in a  coloring book. 

they colored them blue and started playing blues clues.

they even let kale play with them!

i love little kids and their imaginations!!

brave olivia

olivia's tonsils and throat are not doing so great lately.

she has had strep throat 4 times in the last year and

i can't count how many times we went to the dr. to get checked for strep throat

and she didn't have it.  BOO.

so, she is going to see an ENT to see if we should get her tonsils out.

when our new dr looked at her tonsils, she said liv had

the worst "kissing" tonsils she had ever seen.

the dr wanted to make sure liv didn't have MONO!!

so she had to get her blood taken.

liv was really worried, but we talked about it,

the nurses were VERY nice and she did it.

liv sat so still and buried her head in my shoulder.

then started looking when she figured out it wasn't that bad. 

one of the nurses said she did better then some grown men!

yay liv!! 

liv told everybody about her blood draw today.

she was so proud!

the kids woke up to a treat for st. patty's day.

liv and mal got to dress up for school on friday. 

they wore green shirts, necklaces and some cute hair stuff.

i forgot to take pictures. opps.

i made a rainbow breakfast for them.

it was yummy!

i saw this sign on hoh awhile back and loved it. 

i made one for the ehlerts and now brett wants one for our house!

mally got some presents for her birthday too. 

she was so excited!

i have one word to describe the feelings the girls have towards the make up

mally got for her birthday...

OBSESSED!!

they ask to put it on multipe times a day and they put it all over their faces!

glitter in their eyebrows. 

its pretty awesome.
