SNOW and sledding!!!

after playing at the park yesterday...

it snowed 3 ish inches!

we got to go sledding!!

it was the first time we have sledded this year!

the kids had such a great time!

there was a pretty cold wind but the kids were troopers

 and stayed outside for almost 2 hours!

kale and gracie played together the whole time.

they really do love eachother.

it's adorable.  ALMOST makes me want to get a dog for him!

we finished sledding off with some hot chocolate!

we decided to take the kids to the park today!

we are official minnesotans because it was maybe 40 degrees outside!!

being outside was so nice, getting some fresh air!!

is it spring yet?

brett didn't wear a coat or a hat to the park!

his ears were so cold when we got back home he put his beanie on.

SO much homework

i know i have said it before, but olivia has LOTS of homework.

we have gotten behind a bit and were trying to catch up.

lots of cutting and gluing and sounding out!

olivia does so great on her homework!

sunshine

we have these little decals on our dining room/kitchen window.

the other day we had a beautiful sunny day and i saw the sunshining through on the floor

 and thought it looked cool.

kindergarten valentines party!

i got to go to olivia's kindgarten valentines day party!!

it was so great to meet her school friends

and hang out in her classroom.

ms. wurm had several differnt stations set up

and the kids got to make different crafts, have a snack and play games.

it was a great party.

it was so nice to be with olivia!

for some reason we took some crazy pics of the kids and

got a family picture for valentines day!

maybe we will take a family pic every year on v day!

v day treats for teachers

the girls and i dipped some pretzels in chocolate and sprinkled them

for their teachers again this year.

its so nice to have such great helpers!

i did the dipping and they did the sprinkling!

they even let kale have some turns with the sprinkles!

we put some in a baggie and topped it with a cute baggie topper.

i didn't get a pic of them, but they turned out awesome!

too quiet

little kale ivar lamar was playing in his room,

like he often does one sunday.

he came out acting all sheepish and ran back in his room.

we didn't think much of it but he was just being too quiet.

brett went to see what he was doing....

here it is.

he was "painting" with diaper rash cream.

AWESOME.

he got a talking to and did help me clean it up.

i asked if i could put up some quotes on the RS boards at our chapel and the RS president

said to go crazy you and do anything i wanted!!

you don't have to tell me twice!

i am obessed with printables!!

i even made a cute board to write the songs on and a place

to write upcoming events.

i love how it turned out!

little valentine treat

the RS decided to make some fun v day treats for all our ladies!

we got some oreos, dipped them in chocolate, sprinkled them and

then packaged them in a little bag with a printable.

we love how they turned out and

hope our ladies know how special each of them are!

lunch dates

i finally remembered my camera AND

to actually take a picture of all of us at lunch today!

since we moved here, greg, wendy, xander and us have been meeting up for lunch.

it is so fun to see eachother and to go out of lunch!

we usually go out atleast every 2 weeks!

today we even got to have jennie come too!

marble tower

kale got this marble game for his birthday.

we put it together and take it apart everyday.

it get's all over the house and in every room.

but this little guy is happy.

and once in a while he helps me clean it up.

livs special talent

olivia has a secret talent.

she can go to bed with perfectly combed and clean hair...

and wake up with this!!

really.  we even have a special comb to brush her hair out in the morning!

she is one crazy sleeper!!

happy birthday kale part 2

we had kales birthday "party" tonight.

we invited the jones' over and had cake and ice cream.

kale was in heaven.  caleb and brycen are kale's favorite friends!

we finally sang happy birthday and he got to blow the candles out!
