daddy time

we are reading the book of mormon as a family

so for FHE this week we talked about nephi building a boat and travelling to the promised land.

brett thought it would be fun to draw and color a big mural, so we did.

brett did all the coloring and the kids colored!

our new house has a jetted tub.

jets + bubble bath = tons of fun!!

we didn't know the jets would make the bubbles go crazy

so when brett went out of the bathroom to get PJ's for the kids

he came back to an almost overflowing bathtub!

we had to get pictures!

birthday #2 for mallory

mallory had already found her big birthday present, the bike

and had her friend birthday party in indy,

but we had to have a family party on her REAL birthday!!

she opened a couple of presents then had to find one.

it was hiding downstairs!

an easel.

i think all three kids are going to LOVE it!

we also had cake and sang happy birthday! 

mallory is growing, growing!

she loves to draw, color, cut and glue.

mallory and sister play barbies for hours!

she loves her new bike and to play outside.

she is loving her new school, new teachers and making new friends.

she is a daddy's girl and always wants to sit by dad and/or hold his hand.

she is very sweet to everyone and is always thinking about others.

mallory gets herself dressed everyday in super cool outfits.

she almost always has a messy cute face!

we love you mallory!

mallory had her birthday party!

she invited 2 of her best friends.

they got to come over for the afternoon.

we had a tea party with yummy treats.

then played some games.

each girl got an apron to decorate their own cake!

the girls had tons of fun and it was over too quick!

we got this bike for mallory for her birthday. 

it has been hidden for along time, in brett's car!

he had to get it out to pack up his car to leave for minneapolis,

kind of left it out!  there's the first oops.

then mallory found it.

i told her it was for someone else!

that didn't work for long. 

i finally told her it was her birthday present

and she was just a tid bit excited!

goodbye inside park

there is the coolest inside park in indy.

we went there quite a bit.

it was very good for the kiddos in the winter

when they needed to run around!

we will miss you inside park!

the weather was nice today, as in maybe the 40's!

so we went outside!!

kale loves the shovel, even if there is no snow!

he just went up and down the driveway the whole time we were outside!

happy valentines day!

we had a great valetines day with sally!

we made pink cookies and those chocolate covered pretzels.

gave some of each to her teachers.

i made mallory this valentines hair clip.

she loved it and wore it to school.

sally was just here for a whole 8 days!

brett planned a secret birthday present of sally coming to indy

so sally, me and the kids could drive down to see amy!

sally came on the 4th and just left today! 

boo!

we didn't end up getting to amy's because amy's whole family got super sick

and the weather both in indy and in texas was CRAZY!! 

we did have fun in indy even though we were all very sad we didn't get to see the streets!

sally read to the kids everynight before bed and helped me put the kiddos to bed.

we made chocolate covered pretzels, cake mix cookies, breadsticks.

we went to the children's museum for the last time.

watched people chip 6 inches of ice off our sun room roof.

we just played and had a great time.

since brett was already gone to minnepolis for the new job

sally was, in my eyes, very mean and made me start packing!

good thing she did, she got me started!

kale is so fabulous these days.

being two is great!

sally got some get pics of kale while she was here!

this is how we found him watching yo gabba gabba one day!

i guess he likes purple.  he put the hat and gloves on all by himself!

            kale tortures me by wanting to play in the kitchen sink with the water all day everyday!
                             he does a pretty good job of keeping the place clean!

kale is such a joy to have around.

he is a sweet boy and is always being nice to everyone,

especially to pretty girls!

he loves to play with anything like a sword.

he loves to be outside.

he loves to jump off stuff, wrestle with dad and play catch!

he is saying prayers and always wants to have family hug after family prayer.

he loves to read books.

he would brush his teeth all day if i wanted to stay in the bathroom that long!

he is a great sleeper and sleeps through the night almost always.

he eats all sorts of stuff, including green beens, if eating doesn't interfere

with playing!

he is funny! 

 jokes around with us all the time and loves to show off for everyone.

he is a great little brother and son.

he takes after mallory and has some favorite blankets he loves.
