christmas day!

olivia didn't even notice when she went in her room to change!

we were to busy opening presents and having fun!

pre-christmas!

we were lucky enough to have more visitors for christmas this year!

nana, papa and greg got to come!

we did lots of drawing, coloring and playing games.

i put nana right to work making all our favorite treats!

the kids loved it.  they got to bake with nana.

we had our sandberg traditional rice dinner on christmas eve.

it was quite nice and the rice dinner was great!

we read the christmas story and the kids opened a present.

we steered them to grandpas gifts.

they were in heaven!

                               this is the dining room table one of the first nights papa was here.
                                any philip sandberg family member will look at this and laugh.
                                           papa didn't waste anytime taking over our table!

olivia's class party

olivia's party was much like mallory's.

singing, friends, cookies and fun.

this year olivia got to buy a gift for someone (not just a boy/girl gift).

it was really exciting for her and she loved what she got!

mallorys class party

mallory's preschool class had their christmas party.

songs, cookies, friends, cuteness.

oh, the most important part.

PRESENTS!

mallory got to ice and decorate her own cookie! 

and cookies for everyone else!

there are only 8 kids in her class.  it is wonderful.  alot of teacher time!

mrs. claus made an appearence!

no more monkeys

we bought a new mattress for kale.

you would have think these kids had won the lottery.

they have jumped on, gone to "sleep" on, played on and had the best

time on this little mattress on the floor!

we didn't do to much this year. 

brett's birthday was on a sunday so we had the vails over.

had dinner and dessert.

decorating the tree

we decorated the tree with grandpa and josh tonight.
they did a great job with the lights and we all helped hang up the ornaments.

                                       yes, that is a almost naked kale under the tree!

 we had christmas music playing on pandora.
kale and mallory were very interested.

 grandma jodeene sent these for the kids!
aren't they hiliarious!
i think everyone wore them at some point doing the weekend.

liv was dying to put the star on.
brett got her up there and then we realized the trunk of the tree was too thick to fit the star!
grandpa to the rescue!

 he taped it up! 

what a good story to have the rest of our lives!

the tree turned out pretty nice and it was very special to decorate it
with loved ones from far away!
