zoo boo

we have a family pass to the indy zoo and they have "zoo boo" in october.
there is pretty cool decorations, trick or treating and a "haunted train ride".
we actually went this year and the kids LOVED it.

this lion really wanted to eat kale.  i have NEVER seen a lion this close.
it was cool, yet slightly creepy.

super girl olivia

bat boy kale.
the look he has on his face here has captured his little spirit.
he is so sweet, yet curious and fabulously adorable.
i CAN NOT get enough of this sweet face!

while trick or treating, kale got a spider ring.
i put it on him and he kept it on the whole time.
he kept on saying "spider momma, spider".

baby gift

charlotte is having a baby so i made a couple gifts for her and vaughn.

swaddler

blanket

diaper changing pad with matching wipes case.
luckily, charlotte liked the material (or she was lying about it to make me feel better).
either way, i think it all turned out pretty cute.

pumpkin patch

mallory's preschool class went on their first fieldtrip to a pumpkin patch.
i went and took all three kids!
we picked out our pumpkins, had a snack, shopped at the little store and then
played at the playground.

isn't he SO adorable.

kale woke up and went right for the dog.

mallory class.  there are only 8 kids in her class.  it's wonderful!  lots of attention for each one.
she has the same teachers as olivia had last year.  mrs. phillips and mrs. krielein.

of course, right before we left, kale fell down and bumped his lip pretty good.
he got a fat lip and was pretty sad.

it was so interesting to me, when he got hurt.
i saw him get hurt, i was standing right there and i picked him up and held him.
he was crying quite hard and i slowly walked over to the siting area.
quitely telling him he would be ok, rocking him.
i loved him until he calmed down and then started to look at the damage.
he was bleeding and his lip was swelling.
it was so strange...
i wasn't in a panic.  i was calm and figuring out what i needed to do.
just fine, maybe the doctor, hospital.
just fine.
the reason this was so strange to me is because i remember when i was a new mom.
poor olivia.
whenever she got hurt i FREAKED out.
thinking the worst, not even knowing what the worst was...
now, after having these 3 babies, i am not so worried.
i don't freak out so much.
i know what to do.
stay CALM and then see what needs to be done.
weird.  this mothering thing.
how it grows and changes.
gets harder yet easier.
i am a better person because of these sweet babies.

the zoo, again!

we went to the zoo again.  we have a pass so we like to go as often
as possible!  get our monies worth!
this time, one of our family photographers came with us
(thanks jenny!)
so we have some really good photos.
we had a great time, like usual.
kale really loved seeing all the animals and made
all the sounds to go along with each animal.
the girls loved dragging him around since i actually
let him out of the stroller.

they have a new exhibit at the indy zoo.
cheetahs.
you can race a cheetah
(running against a red light thats goes as face as a cheetah).
its the girls favorite new thing to do!
liv running in her ugg like boots!  sweet!

mallory going so fast!  cute!

the whole gang!  aren't they just adorable!

my sweet girls.  aren't they getting so big!
stop it!
we are trying to get them to not sleep and only eat junk food
and drink soda so they stop growing.
but they refuse.
they eat heathly and sleep great.
then they GROW!
