indianapolis zoo

we love the zoo.  we were going stir crazy so my girls and i took the kiddos to the zoo!

mallory putting on her own hat.  she is too funny!

meg got her foot stuck in the garbage.  she really couldn't get it out.

i tried and tried to get this girl to look at the camera and smile. 

she just couldn't do it. 

she is such a silly girl.

she is getting so big.  i can't believe she is going to be three.

she is potty trained.  she wanted to have undies on one day and we let her.

that was that!  she has only had 2 accidents and it has been 2 weeks!

she is always making us laugh.

we are so glad to have this sweet girl in our family!

liv asked me to take some pictures of her.  i thought they turned out pretty good. 

she is so beautiful and sassy.

she is teaching her mom MUCH patience and unconditional love.

olivia took a dance/ballet class too.  she LOVED it.

they put on a little "recital" on the last day of class.  so we got to watch.

olivia is always wanting to turn some music on and dance. 

he favorite show on tv is "so you think you can dance".

she is working on a mean robot right now.

olivia did great and her and olivia will be taking a gymnastics class in the new year!

so...today brett thought we should cut kale's hair.

i didn't know if i really wanted to.

happy halloween!

this year we got to go to a pumpkin patch with olivia's preschool. 

it was so fun. 

the girls ran around and picked all the pumpkin flowers. mallory so wants to be in preschool.  just like sister.

we got a super deal with the school and only paid $2 a pumpkin. 

i think we will go every year from now on!

the pumpkin patch has a "playground" for the kids.   had to go on the swings and the slide.

halloween day...

we went trunk or treating at the church.  we had such a great time getting to know the people in the ward better.  brett even made some chili for the chili cook off.  it was good!

then we went to an old folks home. 

i thought of when my grandma was in a senior home and hoped that some sweet children came to visit her on halloween.  it was really cool.  i think we will do it every year, especially when they are so sweet and little!

then we went to marsh, a local grocery store, and trick or treated! (i know, you are thinking why would a grocery store do that?  i don't know but they give away ALOT of gum and we wanted some!  so we went)

needless to we had alot of candy and went home to enjoy.

we have this picture as our screen saver and everytime kale sees it he growls and waves at himself.

adorable.

we had some visitors before and after halloween. but of course the camera was broken. so no photos!

my mom came for almost a week.  we crafted, played with the kiddos, made cookies and just had fun.

brett's mom and grandma were able to come for more than a week.  they played with the kiddos and i got to do all sorts of stuff ALL BY MYSELF or with one kiddo!

we had such a great time with all the family that has come to visit lately.

now** if you could spread your visits out a little bit!

no one came to visit us for 8 months and then all 4,

 brett's dad, my mom and brett's mom and grandma came in 4 weeks!

we are missing all of you too much. 

9 month update

kale is 9 months already.

he is adorable, of course.

he is crawling, army crawl though.  hope that isn't a sign of jobs to come!

he is a great eater and loves vegetables the most.

he stopped nursing and now drinks formula??

he is a sweet boy who loves to wave to everybody and is a little bashful when they talk back to him.

he likes to be silly and loves to laugh.

he has 6 teeth, 2 on the bottom and 4 up top.

if you stand him up to help him walk, he will go stiff as a board and not move AT ALL.

he can give you a high five.  so smart!
